A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and/or participated in the Como Cookout this past weekend.  The event was a giant success with an estimated over nearly 800 attendees!  This year, a record amount of volunteers, including U of M athletes and Southeast Christian Church members who pitched in.  Thank you to everyone who volunteered, set-up through tear-down. The event would not have gone as smooth without all of you.  A special thank you goes out to our musical performances this year: 7 Days, and Aaron and The Sea.  Both of which did an excellent job in providing entertainment.  In addition, it was fun to see all the kids as well as the courageous college students and adults out on the dance floor dancing to the KidsDance DJ.  Thank you to the  that participated in the event.

Furthermore, as in past years, participants did an stellar job of keeping the Cookout a low-waste event.  We had 7 gigantic trash bags full of compost, 2 bags of recycling, and only 2 bags of trash by the end of the event.

Last but not least, a round of applause goes to our cook, Ron, who cooked all the delicious food we were able to enjoy while at the event.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves at the event and we can continue to make this a wonderful tradition for the Southeast Como neighborhood.
