Como Corner, Burdock, and Gateway

Last Tuesday we had a very productive garden night at Como Corner.  A lot of people came to help and we got a lot done.  Thanks to everyone who made it out.  The paths have a fresh layer of wood chip which will help with all the weeds, and the hill has been mostly cleared of the wood poppy. A lot of burdock was dug out as well.  Burdock is a very common biennial weed that produces burs in its second year.  It has a very long tap root that needs to be dug out to successfully remove the plant.
This week there is also a garden at Gateway on Wednesday at 6:30.  It's been a few weeks since there was an official garden night, so there should be plenty to do.
