OWLS Garden Shares is happening!

The veggie donation community garden is finding itself the recipient of some welcomed one-time support this 2009 season.

  • Our tomatoes are in, all 17 different varieties!  OWLS is known for its  tomatoes and this year looks to be the same.  Our elders who receive the bulk of the tomatoes just love them. Read about the annual Tomato Tastin' Experience that OWLS helps sponsor.

  • OWLS will be the recipient of an Eagle Scout project conducted by Luke, a SE Como resident and high school student.  Luke and his troop plan to build us some trellises to help support our vertical crops!  Some of our failing fence lines may get attention too.  This is big news for our community garden.

  • SECIA Intern, Mike Thomas, has just come on board.  Mike will be great support to the OWLS and other veggie growing projects in our neighborhood.
