Easy Eco-Tip

 Wind source Energy

FACT: Windsource energy is a voluntary renewable energy program offered by Xcel Energy.  Choosing to have your home powered by Windsource energy is an effective way to reduce your carbon footprint by having your residence powered by an environmentally friendly energy source.

Easy Eco-Tip

Using Non Disposable

  Items for Events

FACT: An easy way to reduce the amount of waste from community events is to switch from disposable tablecloths and dishware to items that can be washed and reused instead.

Easy Eco-Tip

 Using Recycled Paper

FACT: Choosing to use recycled paper instead of virgin (unrecycled) paper in your home or office is another easy way to lessen your impact on the environment.  Recycled paper has less of an impact on forest resources, air pollution, water pollution, water consumption, energy consumption, and solid waste then virgin paper.

Easy Eco-Tip

 Composting Organic

   Waste With Worm Bins

FACT: Composting household organic waste instead of throwing it in the garbage is a great way to both give back to the environment and create superior soil for horticulture.  Worm bin composters are an easy and effective solution to composting organic waste, both indoors and outdoors.

Easy Eco-Tip

: Recycling items that can be recycled are one of the easiest ways to reduce your impact on the environment.  Recycling has multiple and numerous benefits; and considering the ease of which most household items can be recycled there is no excuse not to.

Easy Eco-Tip

 Green household cleaners

FACT: Choosing to use and create your own non-toxic cleaning supplies is an easy way to be environmentally friendly while making sure your residence stays clean.  Many non-toxic household cleaners are easy to make with widely available ingredients and because of their benefits, why not use them?

Easy Eco-Tip

 Washable hand towels

FACT: Using washable hand towels for cleaning and drying off is an easy way to eliminate paper waste while still getting the same things accomplished.  Hand towels are easy to clean and reuse and will save money in the long run compared to using paper towels.

Easy Eco-Tip

100% Recycled Home Tissue Products

FACT: products made from recycled paper helps reduce the need for virgin wood pulp. If every household in the United States replaced just one roll of virgin fiber toilet paper (500 sheets) with 100% recycled ones, we could save 423,900 trees. Not to mention the millions of gallons of water that is required to process those trees.
