(For Urban Studies students or others requiring an internship for graduation)
SECIA (Southeast Como Improvement Association) is a neighborhood non-profit 501(c)3 organization that represents the 5,600 residents of the Southeast Como neighborhood in Minneapolis. We currently have an internship opportunity to work as the Como Green Village Intern for the Spring semester 2011. This internship would focus on these current projects:
We are looking for a self-motivated person who can work with minimal direction. We prefer students who currently live, or have lived, in the Como neighborhood, but this is not required. Proficiency with computers, online calendaring/documents, and social networking is a plus. This internship would ideally start in mid-March and carry over into the summer months. Hours are flexible and we can work around your class requirements/schedule. We are a small non-profit, so you will be able to input a lot of your own ideas into the position and your creativity is welcome. The internship is unpaid.
If this position sounds interesting to you, send your inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the SECIA office at 612-676-1731. Thank you.
