Tomato Tasting on Sept. 6th at FairShare Farm Community Garden!

posted Aug 29, 2011, 5:49 PM by Stephanie Hankerson
Yes, its the 1st day of school at the U, but at 6pm at the FairShare Farm community garden the tomatoes will be celebrating. In the tradition of the Tomato Tastin' Experience, we will slice open some beauties and visitors can try them side-by-side. This is the height of tomato season and will soon be passing.  This event is open to all gardeners and visitors to the garden! Bring a friend.  This event is part of Gardening mini-classes at Como Community gardens. See below for more information and future dates.

Gardening mini-classes at Como Community gardens

SECIA has established a fall series of mini-classes on gardening
topics to be held in SE Como's community gardens. For 10 years SECIA
staffperson, Steph Hankerson, has been working with neighbors in
support of community greening projects. Now that the neighborhood's
funds are facing a severe reduction, the likelihood that Steph will be
serving Como in the same way next season is low. Join her at one of
these learning opportunities to exchange well wishes, get question
answered and learn something new! No RSVP needed.
