MIMO free store

MIMOTM 2011 is over.   MIMO is cancelled until further notice--due to funding.
~ Thank you to our Fall 2011 MIMO sponsors: FrogBox, Best For Less Tires & Auto Repair, and Nelson's Auto Performance & Repair
The University of Minnesota is running a similar program called ReUse. Please consider this for moving in/out!

 What is MIMO?

No, it is not the new SECIA pet.

MIMO stands for Move In/Move Out, SECIA's  premier waste reduction project  addressing  the massive amounts of curbside waste left  after the regular Move  in/Move out cycles. Originally funded by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) in 2009, the McKnight Foundation also became a project sponsor in 2010.  MIMO also received grant funding in 2011 from the U of M Good Neighbor Fund.  We are continuing to seek additional support so we can possibly expand MIMO into the surrounding neighborhoods, increase services like pick-ups, and make it an event that can sustain itself from year to year - possibly even year-round.

We could use your involvement and participation to make it a success. If you're interested in getting updates, volunteering, or have comments and questions, SECIA invites you to leave your contact information with "mimo AT comogreenvillage.info".

The MIMOTM Neighborhood Free Store is a project of the Southeast Como Improvement Association's Green Village program.  Thank you to the University of Minnesota Reuse Warehouse for hosting MIMO in 2010 and the spring of 2011.  The fall 2011 MIMO was held in the SECIA parking lot (1170 15th Ave SE, Minneapolis), Thank You Apiary Properties.    There are no future MIMOs scheduled due to lack of funding--sorry.
